"Tucked onto Jettie Rae’s patio is a dinky, 17-foot Airstream Scheffer calls the Pearl, painted nautical white-on-blue with a pop-up window where someone is at the window when the restaurant opens at 4:30. I found the menu focused on small seafood plates — about a half dozen varieties of oysters, canned mussels served with house-made chips and anchovies curled up with olives and Spanish piparra peppers, and pickled shrimp sliced lengthwise and tossed with a tangy dressing and arugula — plus a batched cocktail, wine and a pilsner called the Pearl brewed in collaboration with Fonta Flora using oyster shells from the restaurant. Scheffer imagined it as a little neighborhood garden party, and I saw it play out that way: people drop in after work, meet friends before weekend plans, wait for reservations, or stop by late at night for a cocktail." - Eric Barton
