"A popular Logan Square restaurant that opened in 2016 and appears on Eater Chicago’s 38, the chef-owner — a Beard Award–nominated Jason Vincent — participated in a controversial, agency-led promotional dinner with Glad/FCB Chicago that invited food writers and influencers to sample a purported new menu with cameras present. After two seatings, guests learned there was no new menu and that some dishes had been prepared up to three days earlier and preserved with Glad wrap, which sparked anger over the lack of transparency; the second seating was warned in advance. The invite used the hashtag #ThreeMoons, and diners were later asked to sign consent forms offering $300 and an additional $1,000 if their footage appeared in a Glad video. The chef apologized in person and on social media, explained the financial incentive to rent the normally-closed space for the event, and the incident prompted criticism of the ad agency’s tactics and broader discussion about disclosure and consent in influencer/PR events." - Ashok Selvam
