"One of Las Vegas’s longest-running Mediterranean restaurants began in 1988 as a deli featuring Middle Eastern food and beverages and later expanded and rebranded in 2002 with the addition of a hookah lounge; after 30 years at its Maryland Parkway site that location will close at 9pm on Feb. 15 due to prolonged construction and roadwork that made continued operation unsustainable for a thin-margin independent business. The kitchen is known for a broad, eclectic menu spanning Greek, Italian, Middle Eastern, Indian and vegetarian dishes, while the dark, elegant hookah lounge is decorated with Mediterranean art, couches and ottomans and offers specialty cocktails and tobaccos; unique lighting highlights both hot and cold hookahs. The business opened a second full-service location on Sahara Avenue in 2004 and continues to operate additional locations in the city." - Susan Stapleton
