"A popular Cuban bakery and LA institution that began in 1976 in Echo Park and expanded with a flagship in Glendale and additional locations in Burbank, Downey, Buena Park and West Covina. A planned Northridge Fashion Center opening originally scheduled for 2020 was delayed by the pandemic; the chain now hopes to open the Northridge outpost in the fall, possibly September or October. In the meantime it has been teasing the neighborhood at the weekly Wednesday evening farmers market, offering best-sellers like potato balls, cheese rolls and chocolate chip cookies to give locals a taste." - Matthew Kang
