"This acclaimed Cambridge bakery opened a second location on Main Street in Charlestown at the end of 2024, and residents are delighted. La Saison was founded in 2007 in Tehran, and when owner Soheil Fathi immigrated from Iran to the US in 2017, he brought the business with him. The new Charlestown location sells expertly made bread, including loaves of sourdough and baguettes, that are best enjoyed fresh with a liberal amount of butter but also make for excellent toast and sandwiches. Pizza, trays of which emerge hot from the oven around lunch every day, sit alongside La Saison’s selection of must-try pastries, including croissants, kouign amann, palmiers, and the fan-favorite feta-za’atar scone." - Anna Darrow
