"Shay’s is a quantum leap back to 1983. Just over the city limits in Shoreline, one half of Shay’s slings pancakes and prime rib by day in a cozy, country-time setting. But slip under the striped awning and into the portal to Shay’s Lounge, and whoosh, it’s the Christmas-lights-strung, plastic-bricked, shamrock-plastered dive bar of your dreams. The crowd skews older here, and it closes early even on weekends (perhaps as a result), but boy, is everyone friendly. Yes, of course there’s karaoke." - Meg van Huygen
