"After five years of slinging candy-topped cupcakes, the Knox Avenue bakery announced on Instagram that it will close its location at 3001 Knox Street this Sunday, May 27, after losing the lease. Co-owners Heather Zidell and Leora Azoulay Lesh began by selling cupcakes from a 1965 Airstream trailer they won on eBay—nicknamed Bubbles—then opened a shop in Richardson before launching the Knox location, which earned a crowd of regulars devoted to flavors like the Cookie Monster, a white cupcake with an Oreo crust and frosting.
