"Baking academy and supply store NY Cake opens a flagship store today at 118 W. 22nd St. featuring its first-ever on-site cafe and plenty of retail and baking space. The six-seat cafe, overseen by cake decorating expert Lisa Mansour, will offer macarons, cream puffs, and cakes made at the premise daily, as well as a seasonal menu. The academy portion can fit 22 to 30 students per class, and prices range from $40 to $595 for a three-day workshop. The new 5,700-square-foot store is nearly double the size of NY Cake’s previous location less than a block away, which closed earlier this year." - Carla Vianna
