Zunzi’s Takeout Opens on Howell Mill Road - Eater Atlanta
"The Savannah-based Zunzi’s Takeout & Catering opens Wednesday, May 30 at 1971 Howell Mill Road. The fast-casual restaurant is known for South African style bites with Swiss, Dutch, and Italian influences. Expect sandwiches like the fully-loaded Godfather with chicken, two kinds of sausage, provolone, Romaine lettuce, tomato, and parmesan topped with marinara, ‘Shit Yeah’ sauce, and Zunzi’s dressing on French bread. There’s a vegan portobello mushroom sandwich with peppers and onions, squash, zucchini, mixed greens, tomato, and avocado topped with hummus, ‘Shit Yeah’ sauce and Zunzi’s dressing. Diners can also build their own sandwiches. All but two of the eight sauces at Zunzi’s are vegan. The sandwich bread is provided locally by Atlanta’s H&F Bread Company." - Beth McKibben
