"Dallas chef Omar Flores, who earned multiple James Beard Award nods for his now-shuttered restaurant Casa Rubia, is getting into the Tex-Mex game. According to Escape Hatch Dallas, Flores will open Muchacho at the Plaza at Preston Center, taking over the space formerly occupied by Taco Diner. The restaurant will serve Tex-Mex classics, ranging from queso to fajitas, made with smoked and grilled meats. Expect Muchacho to arrive sometime later this summer." - Amy McCarthy
