"Opening February 6, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. inside the Revolution Hotel (40 Berkeley St., Boston), Cósmica will focus on Mexican cuisine from the team behind South End mainstay the Beehive and Harvard Square's Beat Brew Hall, with Colton Coburn-Wood—an alum of Yellow Door Taqueria and the now-defunct La Verdad—helming the kitchen. I saw the opening menu, which spotlights tacos such as duck carnitas with mole verde and fried plantains; chicken chorizo with cheesy ancho yucca mash; and cauliflower al pastor with chipotle pineapple yogurt, plus other dishes like chorizo queso-stuffed jalapeño poppers, Yucatan-style cochinita pibil, and a tomahawk asada. To drink there will be boozy slushies and sangria, some Mexican beers, a mezcal margarita, and seasonal agua frescas (with and without alcohol). Designed by Boston-based Sousa Design and Dave "Dave-O" Olson to highlight the building's mid-century history while keeping a modern, energetic feel, the space will serve dinner daily, with weekday lunch and weekend brunch to start later." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
