"Soby’s, with its century-old brick warehouse walls, is downtown’s original finer dining spot. A crab cake with hericot vert and maque choux is delicious, and the vegetable plate checks the box for elevated comfort food. Nicely cooked steaks, chops, and seasonal features are consistent. Happy hour at the bar with the doors thrown open to Main Street is a classic Greenville flex. The addition of sommelier John Mitchelson as wine director placed an exclamation point on an already storied subterranean wine cellar. Mitchelson came from an esteemed program at Windsor Court in New Orleans and feels like an apt addition to the Table 301 Restaurant Group." - Stephanie Burnette
