"A fast-growing California-born shop known for Hawaiian-style fried treats that fuse mochi (Japanese rice cake) with American doughnuts to produce a crispy exterior and chewy interior. It has expanded rapidly—opening 11 locations in under two years and planning roughly two dozen more across six states—and is taking over a ground-floor unit at 4355 Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown. The counter-service menu will feature Korean rice hot dogs (with rice flour batter and spicy sausage, a mozzarella-only version, and a popular half-and-half combo), while its rotating lineup of custom doughnut flavors changes every few days and is announced on Instagram (recent flavors included Butterfinger, Thai tea, ube, passion fruit, matcha, red velvet, maple syrup and tiramisu). The Las Vegas location has been announced as “coming soon” but only recently filed remodel paperwork and has no confirmed opening date yet." - Bradley Martin
