"Opened late last month in Newport Beach, Palmilla Cocina y Tequila comes from the Esperanza/Baja Sharkeez crew out of Manhattan Beach and leans into Sonoran- and Baja-style food and cocktails — think a more updated, purposefully designed Javier’s. Architect Gulla Jónsdóttir oversaw the build with a design focused on Cabo, the Sea of Cortez, and Baja’s rocky, sandy coastlines.
