New Brunch Restaurant to Open in Detroit’s Rivertown Warehouse District - Eater Detroit
"A new all-day breakfast spot called Breakfast Loft is heading to the Rivertown Warehouse District. The restaurant is taking over the former Key Club nightclub space at 1440 Franklin St. in the same complex as Steve’s Soul Food. Owned by Micah Jenkins, Breakfast Loft will seat roughly 125 people in a “loft dining area” and will feature a large patio, according to a release. Additionally, the restaurant will include private dining spaces on the main floor and in the bar area. Diners can expect a variety of brunch dishes including waffle-biscuits, sweet potato pancakes, seafood omelets, and burgers. Breakfast Loft plans to make its sausages in-house and also plans on serving several vegetarian and vegan dishes. Breakfast Loft is currently serving a weekends-only brunch buffet. When it debuts officially in September, the restaurant will serve breakfast and brunch on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.
