Japanese Bakery Beard Papa’s Opens in Austin’s H Mart Food Court | Eater Austin
"Opening Saturday, March 30, 2024, this new H Mart Lakeline food-court bakery brings the chain’s signature cream puffs—light choux pastry shells filled with cream and custard—to Austin’s Lakeline area. Shell flavor options include chocolate eclair, vanilla, s’mores, and churro, with fillings such as vanilla bean, chocolate, and green tea. The menu also features non-puff desserts like crème brûlées, chocolate and ube fondants, and Japanese puddings, along with milk teas (taro, matcha, and brown sugar). Reddit reports the shop is taking over the former Snowy Village Dessert Cafe space inside H Mart. An opening special will give gifts to the first 100 visitors starting at 11 a.m., plus other promotions; regular hours are 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. Friday–Saturday.
