"Clarke’s, the longtime Lakeview/Boystown diner, is closed again at 930 W. Belmont Avenue. Ownership posted a colorful Facebook post saying they’re trying to reach a new deal with their landlord, but may have to look for a new location: “We had problems with the landlord who was negligent with the building and had severe building violations which were a safety concern. He was basically a slum landlord who caused negligent damage to the building along with the franchisee,” the Facebook post read.
