"The resort has made major culinary changes and promoted Lyle Kaku to executive chef to oversee all culinary operations, including new restaurant development, in-room dining, and banquets. Kaku — elevated from executive sous chef after joining the property in 2018 — will manage menus and openings such as a Philadelphia sports-bar crab house, a hand-pulled noodle concept, and a new Italian project from chef Shawn McClain. Trained at the University of Hawaii, he brings more than 20 years of Las Vegas experience with stints at Spago in Wailea and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the MGM Grand, plus leadership roles as chef de cuisine at Vintner Grill and executive chef at Cleo before moving to the Fairmont in San Francisco." - Susan Stapleton
