"Opening Friday, May 30, this Hillsboro restaurant at 10875 N.E. Cornell Road in the Tanasbourne Village marks the chain’s first foray into Oregon; there was a kerfuffle online when fans believed the Portland-area outpost would open in the second week of May, but that was not the case and the opening date was corrected to Friday, May 30. The debut includes three days of giveaways: on day one the first 50 guests in-store and in the drive-thru receive a year of free fried chicken (one six-piece bucket per month for 12 months) plus a T-shirt; on day two the first 100 diners receive a branded tote bag; and on day three guests get branded bucket hats. The outpost will be open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, with dine-in and to-go available but no online ordering at launch." - Paolo Bicchieri
