"Opening for the Super Bowl on February 11, the new Downtown LA location of 33 Taps — on the ground floor of the Moxy/AC Hotel directly across from Crypto.com Arena with a patio facing Figueroa Boulevard — aims to be a citywide sports-viewing destination: a family- and queer-owned spot with 50 TVs, a three-sided jumbotron above the bar, 15 retro arcade machines, and sports games like boxing, shuffleboard, foosball, basketball, and Mario Kart. The inside seats up to 350 plus 40 on the patio, and a colorful mural by LA artist Erin Miller Wray adds a local touch. The menu is classic sports-bar done right, from chicken and cauliflower wings, mozzarella sticks, pizza, nachos, and fish ’n’ chips to a hefty burrito, cheesy quesadilla, and a trio of tacos; banh mi fries are topped with Beyond chicken, pickled vegetables, radishes, and spicy aioli, while the signature burger features grass-fed wagyu, pineapple, red pepper, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, and spicy aioli on a brioche bun. Sweet finishes include skillet-baked cookies, churro waffles, and vegan brownies; brunch offers chilaquiles verde, chicken and waffles, and eggs Benedict toast. Multiple drafts (house, craft, mainstream), cocktails, wine, and nonalcoholic options are available, plus weekly specials like Taco Tuesday ($9 trios of tacos, $8 margaritas), weekday happy hour (3–7 p.m.), late-night happy hour starting at 9:30 p.m., and events such as drag bingo and karaoke.
