"I've always considered Best Stop Supermarket a quintessential road-trip stop, and now I won't have to drive into Louisiana to get its Cajun staples: since 1986 the no-frills store right off the interstate between Houston and Lafayette has offered cold drinks and candy alongside fresh and smoked sausage, boudin, cracklins, and more. The company has announced a Katy franchise and said hot boudin will be available at 806 Katy Fort Bend Road "in a few short months," and their Facebook page (with more than 30,000 followers) is the best avenue to stay abreast of further updates." - Megha McSwain
