Whidbey Island’s Rocket Taco Lands on Capitol Hill | Eater Seattle

"Opening today at 5 p.m. in the Capitol Hill space that previously housed Kingfish Cafe, Ernest Loves Agnes, and briefly Contadino, Rocket Taco brings its Whidbey Island–born taco menu of from-scratch tortillas cradling chorizo potato, ancho-seasoned chicken, and vegetarian options like quinoa lentil. The menu is rounded out with taco-adjacent items such as a taco salad, quesadillas, and tortilla soup, and the drinks list includes frozen and on-the-rocks margaritas, a michelada, a paloma, beer on tap and in bottles, wine, horchata, and Jarritos Mexican sodas. Owned by Steve and Jill Rosen—who split their time between Capitol Hill and Whidbey Island—the Seattle expansion follows their original Freeland spot; after today the hours will be 11 a.m. to close on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday." - Megan Hill
