"I'm excited to report that opening this week in Ardmore, Lola’s Garden is a 237-seat indoor/outdoor restaurant in Suburban Square, occupying the former Kate Spade spot at 51 St. Georges Road; the space includes a 1,800-square-foot interior and a 2,500-square-foot outdoor patio and focuses on wine on tap and fresh, local ingredients. Run by Avram Hornik's FCM Hospitality with chef Andrew Wood (of Russet), the menu promises “honest local ingredients” and dishes that emphasize “simple, clean, big flavors”—highlights include the Lola burger with pickled beets and mustard aioli, a seared sea scallops salad, and grilled duck breast with local mushrooms and cipollini agrodolce. The airy, greenhouse-inspired interior (with accordion windows) matches the menu's energy, and the beverage program is entirely Pennsylvania-sourced with wine available on tap by the glass or carafe. Lola’s opened for dinner and small bites on April 14 (Wednesday–Sunday, 5 p.m.–10 p.m. until May 3) with brunch and lunch service beginning in early May and seven-day service planned thereafter." - Dayna Evans
