Iconic Silicon Valley Cake Shop Will Close After Nearly 40 Years - Eater SF

"Base Camp, a Nepali tapas spot, will open in November at the former site of Schmidt's German restaurant. It is operated by the Nepali-born siblings behind Dancing Yak and will feature a menu rich in Tibetan street foods. The restaurant is seen as an 'ode' to those affected by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal." - Tierney Plumb
