"Tucked just south of Garvey Avenue, the tiny 10-table King Charcoal BBQ (opened in 2018) serves eastern Chinese barbecue every night until 2 a.m., which is exactly what’s needed during late hours: skewered ingredients grilled with no fuss, including fat and lean lamb, bacon-wrapped enoki, tripe, mushrooms, gizzard, corn, and curry pork ribs. The grilled squid is the winner for me — tender, wonderfully pleasant, and inexplicably affordable at $8.99 — and it’s a great spot to come with a crew, order beer and skewers, and enjoy a lively late-night experience." - Eater Staff
