Detroit-Style Pizza Restaurant Emmy Squared Is Opening in Glenwood Park, Atlanta, Replacing the Shed Restaurant | Eater Atlanta

"I’m reporting that a Brooklyn-based pizzeria, Emmy Squared, is coming to Glenwood Park this summer and will replace the Shed at Glenwood (which closed last year after 12 years on Bill Kennedy Way). I note the menu centers on Detroit-style thick-crust pizzas and also includes sandwiches such as chicken or eggplant parmesan, salads, and a double-stack burger on a pretzel bun called the Le Big Matt. Having first opened in 2016 in Williamsburg, Emmy Squared now operates multiple New York–area locations plus restaurants in Nashville, Louisville, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., with a Charlotte location due to open this summer; a restaurant representative told Eater there could be additional Emmy Squared pizzerias around Atlanta because it’s a small, neighborhood concept that fits many areas." - Beth McKibben
