"An acclaimed Clapton wine bar crowned Eater London’s restaurant of the year, this venue runs a chef-in-residence program and has become a notable platform for up-and-coming cooks. Anna Tobias — whose mentors include Jeremy Lee, Margot Henderson and Ruth Rogers — will become the sixth resident head chef, taking over the induction hobs from 27 September for at least a six-month stint through spring 2019. She will cook dinners 6pm–10pm on Thursday to Saturday and 2pm–9pm on Sundays. Tobias plans to serve simple, generous European food with nods to traditional and under-appreciated dishes, prioritising excellent, thoughtfully sourced produce and doing as little to it as possible; early menus are expected to feature soups, stews and puddings. The venue is also known for its strong belief in the wines it pours and for thoughtful, attentive service, which has helped previous occupants showcase their cooking." - Adam Coghlan
