"Chef Anthony Marini is relocating from Birmingham to Charleston to open a compact market-and-lunch concept that transforms into an intimate 12-seat dinner room in the Cannonborough/Elliotborough neighborhood. Housed in the former Poke-San space, the daytime operation will function as a small market and lunch spot focused on creative, playful sandwiches — one example is a JLT with jamón, arugula, oven-dried tomatoes and spicy morbier mayonnaise on open-faced ciabatta. Evenings will offer a single seating for an eight-course chef’s tasting for up to 12 guests, with Marini aiming to make the dining room feel like a private, convivial dinner party. The project is expected to be ready to open in July." - Erin Perkins
