"Opening Friday, March 1, the towering 5,700-square-foot Adventure Lodge & General Store combines two adjacent dance studios with the original tasting room to create a lofty, circular space that resembles a giant hipster yurt beneath a central skylight; a stone tasting bar anchors the room with 20 taps pouring Bivouac’s core lineup plus experimental ciders and local collaborations (including a pear cider made with Oddish Wine and a fortified plum wine by Seven Caves Spirits), a guided 30-minute tasting designed to show cider’s nuances, and a Parisian-styled sidewalk café serving daily pastries from a nearby pastry chef, espresso and tea, non-alcoholic cider, kombucha and tonics. To encourage lingering and minimize waste, beverages are served in mugs made by a local ceramicist with no to-go options. The General Store stocks Bivouac cans and sought-after ciders from around the globe alongside outdoor gear, camping supplies, and a curated assortment of gifts, art, books and more—mostly from women- and BIPOC-owned brands—and offers a “zero-waste snack bar” plus rotating “grab and stay” foods from salads and sandwiches to build-your-own charcuterie plates. The space is open 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday and opens at 9 a.m. Friday–Sunday (closing at 5 p.m. on weekends to allow rentals for events and parties)." - Candice Woo
