"I noted that the vegan doughnut shop Dough Joy, which makes plant-based, yeast-raised doughnuts, began as a truck in 2021 when Christopher Ballard and Sean Willis launched it; after a Kickstarter to open a Capitol Hill store they added a West Seattle location and this week announced on Instagram they will open a third spot in Ballard as a homecoming to the neighborhood where the original truck was based. The new shop seems to be taking the former Cupcake Royale space on Market Street in Ballard, and Eater Seattle has reached out to Dough Joy for opening timing." - Harry Cheadle
