"Created by owner Gary Collins in the back patio of a longtime 30th Street bar, I found the retro-modern Glampisphere seats 77 and was designed as an alternative to a staid conference room or hotel banquet room. It now takes reservations for business meetings, corporate retreats, and private events, and is also open to the public Thursday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The space features an elevated bar that can be stocked with liquor, beer, and wine, a sail-shaded cabana and communal tables, plus firepits and a waterfall that help set the scene. It's kitted out with flat-screen TVs, outdoor speakers, and high-speed WiFi, and guests can bring their own catering or use one recommended by the Glampisphere." - Candice Woo
