"Birdie’s Eastside announced its opening, projected for winter 2023, in the former Luby’s space on Mockingbird at Norris Street. The location is massive, with room for over 250 diners and a whopping 7,000 square feet outdoor patio with an adults-only resort-style bar and a play area for kids, all spread over 2.2 acres. Owner Jon Alexis of Imperial Fizz Hospitality says the space is to give the neighborhood a “no-wait” option." - Courtney E. Smith
