"I learned that the California-based Zero Degrees is unveiling its highly visual menu on the west side today after an earlier plan to debut at The District at Green Valley Ranch was changed. The shop is famous for its mangonada, a Mexican fruit drink, and for extremely colorful dishes including purple ube milkshakes, bright red “hot Cheetos elote,” and yellow “spicy Dole Whip cups.” The menu also includes hot selections like Cajun fries, popcorn chicken and Sriracha wings, plus cold choices such as a pink lychee slush or strawberry mojito. Located at 4001 S. Decatur Blvd., near Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road, the 1,634-square-foot expansion replaces a shuttered retail store next to Planet Fitness; for the next two days hours are noon to 8 p.m. before a weekend grand opening launches permanent daily hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. A Henderson location will follow, set to replace the shuttered Oil & Vine store close to Me Gusta Tacos, though a rescheduled opening date has not yet been announced." - Bradley Martin
