Zula, Amy Poehler’s Wine Store, Opens in Park Slope | Eater NY

"Located in Park Slope's former Acme Wines & Spirits space at 487 Fifth Ave., between 11th and 12th streets, Zula Wines & Spirits opened a few weeks ago and is co-owned by Amy Poehler and longtime friends and married duo Amy Miles and Mike Robertson. The shop holds free evening wine tastings and offers free local delivery, and it stocks a “big” collection of bottles under $13 as well as higher-end options meant to give neighborhood shoppers “a very good bottle” that won't “break a bank.” The selection includes reds and whites from France to Austria, offerings from South Africa, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand, some American wines, sparkling options from France, Italy, and the U.S., and craft spirits. For December there's 10 percent off six bottles from the $13-and-under section, it's open daily from 12 to 9 p.m., and Poehler says she'll visit when she's in town—she enjoys a grüner, is more of a white-wine gal, but often drinks whatever Mike recommends." - Carla Vianna
