"Continuing the trend of time travel, Five Points nods to the gritty, chaotic, and notorious 19th-century New York neighborhood it’s named after. Above the entrance, a giant cleaver juts out from the building like a warning sign, and inside, the Prohibition-style decor is all dark wood and vintage portraits of folks who look like they’ve stirred up some trouble. The cocktails follow suit in keeping things intriguing. The Daybreaker cocktail proves smoky mezcal, hellfire tincture, and sweet blackberry jam somehow gel smartly. The menu’s always evolving, with seasonal specials that show Five Points never phones it in. Head to the back and you’ll find the moody and elegant Bowery Room, a bit more discreet for a low-key nightcap." - Laura Zhang
