"You haven’t had goat cheese until you’ve had it in the Loire Valley. From Sainte-Maure to Valençay, Loire goat cheese is famous the world over for its grey ash and irresistible creaminess. The certified organic Le Cabri au Lait farm makes artisanal goat cheese with traditional methods. There, you can experience goat cheese making for yourself. Not only does the farm offer cheese-making workshops, but it also lets you feed the goats and tour the grounds. Guided tours of the farm are available from February to November. You’ll learn the history and production of goat cheese in the region and the cheese-making process, walk through the goat pasture, and taste some yourself. You can also tour the garden, filled with flowers, herbs, and medicinal plants, and there’s a shop on-site where you can buy the farm’s cheese alongside local products like wine, honey, and jam." - Lee Musho
