"After a change in ownership, the Central District brewpub formerly known as Machine House Brewing has been renamed The Capercaillie. I noticed the pub still concentrates largely on cask ales—particularly those from Machine House—and the taps pour beers like the stinging nettle amber, oyster stout, single hop Comet pale, imperial stout, and winter warmer, so patrons probably won’t notice many changes beyond the name. Alex Brenner, who is now concentrating his efforts on The Capercaillie after parting ways with cofounder Bill Arnott, hasn’t made major changes to the pub but is adding events such as trivia nights and all-day happy hours.
