"Undergoing a massive multi-year renovation per the Los Angeles Times and others, the 23-year-old building (formerly Staples Center) is being modernized with plans for seamless indoor-outdoor spaces, upgraded luxury suites, and improved concessions and food-and-drink areas throughout the property; AEG, which owns the arena, is reportedly putting in a nine-figure capital investment, construction has already begun, and work is expected to continue for the next two years as part of an effort to keep up with newer venues like SoFi Stadium and the future Intuit Dome. It’s unclear if those improvements will meaningfully improve the notoriously mediocre food for average diners, since much of the spending appears focused on premium experiences, though some public-facing spaces and concessions are slated for updates over time." - Farley Elliott
