"At 9:30 p.m. on Friday, David Chang’s Midtown West noodle shop was the only sign of life on the third floor of the Time Warner Center. The wait? About 45 minutes for two. A lot of the specials were sold out by then, but we managed to get the last order of spicy baby shrimp ($12). If this were any other mall restaurant that preparation would involve tender little popcorn shrimp in spicy aioli. But since this is a Chang spot, the dish translates as head-on, shell-on, the-eyes-are-still-looking-at-you crustaceans, each one barely bigger than a whole boiled peanut. The result is a product that’s more spicy and shrimpy than soft or tender. Squirt with lemon and pair with beer." - Eater Staff
