"Opening a second location next fall in the town center of a 234-acre mixed-use development in Fayetteville (just south of Atlanta and across from the Pinewood Atlanta studio), this gelato shop—founded by Wes Jones, Jackson Smith, and Khatera Ballard—started as a food truck before opening a stall in Ponce City Market in 2015. It offers Southern spins on Italian gelato with signature flavors such as bourbon pecan praline, brown butter crunch, and lemon raspberry crumble, along with seasonal flavors and sorbets. The partners donate five percent of profits to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and plan to continue that commitment at the new location while introducing the shop’s distinctive offerings and experimenting with new creations to support a community that celebrates diversity and creativity." - Beth McKibben
