"Hidden inside a combination truck stop and wash since 2014, SNS Diner—also operating as the Southern Nevada Smokehouse—has built a loyal following for a traditional diner menu and a house specialty of barbecue meats all slow-smoked on site. After earning national attention with a makeover on Food Network’s American Diner Revival, SNS frequently rotated barbecue specials including turkey, bacon, ham, hotlinks, ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The original, obscure North Las Vegas location closed last month as the business prepares to move less than half a mile away into a much larger, former 4,400-square-foot McDonald’s at 3229 Losee Road, sitting across the street from Tacos El Gordo and a Denny’s; the remodeled space will add a drive-thru, a 15-seat bar, a 600-square-foot outdoor smoke yard/patio, two professional-grade smokers, and three seats at a walk-up outdoor window. Although the team originally expected daily hours from 5 a.m. to midnight, an estimated debut date has not been announced, so fans, truckers, and locals will have to wait a few more weeks for the Southern Nevada Smokehouse to reopen." - Bradley Martin
