"A high-street Italian-American chain is trialing a phone-locking policy that asks diners to lock their phones in a box for the duration of the meal—a practice usually seen at upscale restaurants. The scheme runs until 7 December (with a possibility of extension) and offers parents who hand in phones free meals for their children; the initiative is partly motivated by concerns about reduced Instagram posting and aims to encourage more engaged, device-free dining." - James Hansen
