The Best New Cocktail Bars in Austin, February 2025

"SoCo’s Austin Motel turned its alfresco courtyard into a bar honoring its late outdoor cat Rocky in October. The poolside bar serves a lighter cocktail menu, with drinks like the Jungle Cat (rum, Campari, cherry heering, almond, and pink grapefruit), a frozen guava colada, and shaved ices (non-alcoholic, with optional boozy floaters). The retro aesthetic includes vintage pool chairs and umbrellas, lounge seating, greenery, and misters. Orders are placed at a walk-up window, and drinks are served in cat-motif cups." - Darcie Duttweiler
