"Opening next week in Ashburn, City Tap House brings its first Virginia location to 20736 Exchange Street across from One Loudoun Downtown Plaza in the former Hail & Hog space. The sprawling suburban outpost is outfitted with 40 draft lines and an extensive beer list featuring local, domestic, and European pours, plus about 30 types of bottles and cans. The familiar American pub menu highlights crispy fried Nashville hot cauliflower, ten-spice wings, and brick-oven pizzas like The G.O.A.T. (red onion, pistachio pesto, rosemary, and truffled honey); entrees include mustard-glazed salmon with cornbread panzanella and Berkshire pork collar, with weekly specials such as chicken and waffles on Thursdays and prime steaks and chops on Saturdays. Healthier options include salads and grain bowls topped with avocado, shrimp, chicken, grilled steak, or seared tuna. Dinner starts at 4 p.m., there’s a limited late-night menu until 1 a.m. Thursday–Saturday, and weekday lunch and brunch will be added later. The rustic-industrial design uses reclaimed woods from upstate New York and Lancaster County, exposed steel beams, roll-up garage doors to a seasonal patio, a six-foot fireplace, and Prohibition-era murals, while the centerpiece is a massive island copper-topped bar surrounded by communal tables and a dozen TVs; a 57-seat dining area overlooks an open kitchen and a private event space holds 80. Table 95 Hospitality Group runs this location alongside City Tap Houses in D.C. (Dupont Circle and Penn Quarter) and in Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, and Chicago." - Tierney Plumb
