"Opened last Friday as Reformation Brewery’s third location, the 2,500-square-foot Smyrna taproom in the Eddy at Riverview Landing on Riverview Road is Smyrna’s first brewery following 2018 zoning changes and the city’s expanded open container district. It offers 16 beers on tap, retail six-packs and growlers, and will be used to experiment with ciders, barrel-aged beers, sours, and mixed fermentations. The taproom extends several sustainability practices—patrons can buy and reuse silicone pint cups (with a discount on draft beers), and CEO Spencer Nix notes the brewhouse is highly efficient, using less wastewater than traditional systems. The location also provides public access to the dock and kayak launch on the Chattahoochee River and to nearby green space, an outdoor amphitheater, and trails; a Grand Champion BBQ location may open next door via an adjacent door, and the complex already includes an outpost of Chattahoochee Coffee Company. Current hours are Wednesday–Thursday 4 p.m.–9 p.m., Friday 3 p.m.–11 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m.–11 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.–9 p.m., with plans to add Tuesdays and earlier weekday afternoons." - Beth McKibben
