"After closing its last location following Hurricane Harvey, Prince’s has quietly returned inside the clubhouse at the Sharpstown Park Golf Course and opened a new spot at 6600 Harbor Town Drive, run by longtime owner John Broussard. The reopened restaurant stays true to the originals—Broussard says he’s never changed the recipe, only the price—and the interior is steeped in nostalgia, documenting the company’s long history in Houston. The chain, founded in Dallas in 1929 and expanded to Houston in 1934, is often credited with popularizing the drive-thru in Texas and is known for its juicy burgers, fried shrimp baskets, crispy onion rings and chocolate shakes; Eater named Prince’s one of Houston’s most iconic burgers in 2015. The location has revived old traditions as well, with plans for patrons to gather for a casual car show every first Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon." - Brittanie Shey
