"Opened this week in downtown Austin, I found Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Icehouse occupying a shuttered Gatti’s Pizza at 701 West Sixth Street; it features an indoor bar and a spacious patio and is billed as a lounge offering high-end whiskeys, though the drink menu is still being finalized. Given the ample space, the venue plans to host live music, and New York sausage spot Schaller’s Stube Sausage Bar will run a food truck on-site starting next week. The bar leans into a fox theme — its Instagram makes ample use of popular animal account @juniperfox without credit — and it enforces a "Style Guide," aka a dress code, that prohibits certain items.
