Temescal’s Lanesplitter Pizza & Pub Will Become Artichoke Basille’s This Fall | Eater SF

"After two decades serving New York–style pizza and local craft beer, I note that this East Bay institution and homegrown mini-chain has grown to four full-service spots across Albany, Berkeley, and Oakland but is now downsizing by handing off its Temescal location on Telegraph Avenue. Co‑founders Daniel Rogers and Vic Gumper say the decision to sell the Temescal restaurant was driven by family commitments and complications from last year’s Sonoma fires; they emphasize the change won’t affect their other locations, that they’ve tried to keep employees informed and retain staff who wished to stay, and that currently there are no plans to close more locations.
