"I spotted a new ice cream parlour and café called Les Tropiques slated to open in late May or early June on Rachel Street, just across from Lafontaine Park; Montrealers will recognize the spot as the former home of trailblazing Plateau cocktail bar Le Lab, which shuttered in August 2018 after a 10-year run when the building’s landlords refused to renew the lease (Le Lab’s second location in the Quartier des Spectacles remains open)." - Valerie Silva
