"It's sad news for barbecue fans: after almost two and a half years in Andersonville I found Pork Shoppe unexpectedly closed — the telephone was disconnected and a sign reading “closed 4 good” with a frowny face was taped to the entrance. The owners had opened this second location in 2015 after debuting the Pork Shoppe brand in Avondale in 2010; the Andersonville space seated about 150 inside (in a relic of a space familiar to longtime Chicagoans) and featured a 100-seat patio. The restaurant sat on a strip that includes brunch favorite M. Henry and upscale Thai spot Blu 57, and its Yelp page already has someone expressing interest in the space." - Ashok Selvam
